Instructor Trainings

How much is an instructor training?

The full price of a Zumbini instructor training is $400 for a 2-day training and $349 for a 1-day + online training.

What does the training include?

Along with attendance to the training, you’ll receive the following at your Zumbini instructor training:

  • 1.6 ACE CEUs
  • 15 AFAA CEUs
  • The Zumbini Instructor Manual
  • One copy of the “Kalino Finds the Music” Zumbini Bundle
  • A license to teach Zumbini classes

How long is the training?

Zumbini trainings are primarily comprised of one live day, followed by an online "Day 2." In some cases, trainings may be anticipated to be unusually large, in which case trainings will be two live days. Regardless, the same content is covered in both training formats.

What should I bring with me to the training?

You will receive a confirmation email once you sign up for your training, which will include a detailed list of what we recommend you bring with you. However, you will not have to purchase anything that you don’t already own. Typical suggestions include a sweater and snacks.

Are there any prerequisites to take this training?

No previous certifications or licenses are required to take a Zumbini training or become a Zumbini instructor.

Do I need to be a Zumba instructor to take a Zumbini training?

No. You do not need to be part of the Zumba instructor network to become a licensed Zumbini instructor. While Zumbini is very closely partnered with Zumba Fitness, we are a separate company and, therefore, do not have this requirement.

I am a Zumba instructor, do I get any discounts?

If you are a ZIN member in good standing, you will receive a $45 discount on all Zumbini® instructor trainings.

I am already signed up for a training but need to cancel, what is the cancelation policy?

We understand that plans change. However, we plan our trainings well in advance and often decide to conduct them based on achieving a minimum number of registrations. Late cancellations can cause many issues for us operationally, so we have created the following refund policy:

  • If you cancel 30 days or more before the start date of the training you will receive a 75% refund
  • If you cancel between 15 and 30 days before the start date of the training you will receive a 50% refund
  • If you cancel 15 days or less before the start date of the training you are not eligible for a refund
  • You may transfer your registration to any other training at any time before the start date of the training for a 15% transfer fee

Classes

Who are Zumbini classes for?

Zumbini is a program designed for children ages 0 - 4 and their caregivers. This program is intended to drive cognitive, social, motor, and behavioral development for your child, all while creating the ultimate bonding experience for the two of you!

What is a Zumbini “session”?

While you can attend an individual Zumbini class, our program is designed to be offered in "sessions." A session is a series of classes that meet once per week (same time, same place) for between 6 - 16 weeks. The session format is a critical component of our curriculum, as your child needs repetition and repeated visits to a familiar environment in order to fully benefit from the activities that occur in class. While you will still have fun and your child will still benefit developmentally from a single class, a session will be much more impactful. By attending a Zumbini session, your child will develop their cognitive, social, behavioral, and motor skills in Zumbini class!

How much are Zumbini classes?

There is no standard Zumbini pricing, as all Zumbini instructors are independent and, therefore, set their own prices. You can find the price for a single class and full sessions on the corresponding details page of each class posting on our website. Simply search for your city or ZIP code, and we will show you the classes available near you.

How do I sign up for a Zumbini class?

Once you find an individual class or session that you’d like to sign up for on Zumbini.com, you will have two options. In many cases, you’ll be able to pay immediately online. If that is not offered, the alternative will be an RSVP system - for these classes, you will pay the instructor or host facility upon arrival.

What are the Zumbini take-home materials?

Our original take-home materials are the perfect compliment to your Zumbini class experience, allowing you to continue the learning and fun at home! Once you attend a Zumbini class, you can choose to purchase a Zumbini Music Code, which will allow you to listen to the 20 original songs used in your Zumbini class, or a Zumbini Bundle, which includes a Zumbini Music Code and corresponding songbook and plush doll! While fun, these take-home materials also dramatically enhance the developmental benefits of the Zumbini program, as interaction with the course content between live classes will keep your child more stimulated and engaged both in and outside of the classroom!

How do I cancel a Zumbini class?

Each Zumbini class has its own cancellation policy, set by the individual instructor or the host facility. The details of the cancellation policy for each class (or session) can be found on the corresponding registration page. In order to cancel, you must contact the instructor or host facility directly. Please note that, when you pay for a Zumbini class, you are paying the individual instructor or host facility, so you will need to coordinate your refund with them based on their refund policy.

I want to offer Zumbini classes at my facility, how can I find a licensed Zumbini instructor?

Click here to fill out our simple job listing form. Once completed, your location will be listed on our Zumbini instructor job board. Should an instructor express interest in the opportunity to teach at your facility, one of our customer service representatives will introduce them to you via email so you can coordinate a live interview and hire the instructor to teach at your facility.
